Project 2Crystal Memories:
The Future of Stars
Crystal Memories: The Future of Stars is an interactive installation that explores the mysterious bond between humans, crystals, and vanishing starlight. Inspired by quantum time crystals and 5D memory crystals, the work imagines how future archaeologies might preserve celestial phenomena lost to light pollution. A rhinoceros beetle wandering through a crystal array triggers sonic archives of disappearing stars, transforming data into immersive soundscapes. Blending field research, computational design, and speculative storytelling, the project repositions crystals as both scientific media and cultural memory keepers—inviting us to reflect on deep time, non-human agency, and the fragility of cosmic beauty.
